Dear friends and partners,
I pray this letter finds you healthy according to the Word of God in Isaiah 53:3. Be strong and courageous and do not be afraid. God has blessed each and every one of us in 2009 and we have to remember to count our many blessings and name them one by one. We have entered a new season and new things are happening all over the world.
God is doing a new thing in the universe. He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert areas therefore perceive and heed to what the Lord is doing now.
As the year comes to an end, we have to review and delight in the outcome.
When the year 2011 started, I did not know I was going to achieve all I achieved but I could achieve those things because of Jesus and your prayers. Thank you.
Overview of 2009:
Preaching, orphanage visit, soul saved, & Director of customs.
In January 2009, Mary Simmons and I were in Burkina Faso to start the paperwork on the 38 acres of land in Bobo to get a nonprofit status. We were able to get it going and left it in the hands of two wonderful people; Pastor Luc Doumounia and his wife Sali Doumounia who are still working on the paper work. It is a long process.
Fenced the 5 acres of land in Ouagadougou, the capital city, for the administrative building, Learning Center and Guest House for missionaries.
April – Nigeria
Visited family and friends. Introduced Africa for Jesus Ministries. Chapel of Resurrection Church in University of Ibadan, Nigeria adopted Africa for Jesus Ministries as one of their missionaries.
May – Dallas Forth Worth
Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church – Worship workshop.
August – Cuahtemoc, Chihuahua, Mexico
Women Conference, training, home visit and Tent Revival. I preached in one of the biggest churches in Cuahtemoc and did a tent revival in a town in Chihuahua and many received Christ, healed and delivered. I taught the area pastors on All Night prayer. People were very receptive to my teaching of “My Testimony, Channel of God’s love, Watchman on the tower, Unforgiveness, and Come to Jesus”. I could not have asked for more from the Lord. He made everything beautiful and I give Him all the glory.
1st Annual Dinner Banquet
Africa for Jesus Ministries had its first Annual Dinner Banquet and it was a great success.
Thank you all for your prayers and your financial support. Your giving has made a huge difference though we did not raise enough money to start a project.
Onetime donations will be highly appreciated, but monthly support will be preferred. Would you like to become a financial partner? If yes, please make your donation out to Africa for Jesus Ministries International, which is tax-deductible.
Please let me know if you would like to become a partner and make a monthly commitment of ongoing giving both financially and prayerfully.
2009 was a tough year for everyone. The economy was uncertain and the pressure was too much on everyone. Africa for Jesus Ministries need your help at this time to meet up with the projects at hand. You have been so faithful in your giving this past year and we want to thank you for your faithfulness and support. We need your support this year.
Africa for Jesus Ministries’ goal for this year is to continue to raise funds for the projects in Burkina Faso. We were unable to raise enough funds to start the clean water project. I pray and believe that we will be able to attain that through your giving and prayers this year. If you would like to give, please fill out the form attached and mail it back to us in the envelope provided.
Thank you for your loving friendship and support. We pray that your 2010 will be prosperous on every level!
In His Service,
Rev Obie Obiekwe
